Eyebrows are one of the human being's foremost means of expression. However, sometimes they can get a little unruly. A nicely shaped brow can be the difference between looking put together or completely messy. Follow these few steps to control your brows and stay a shining example of beauty.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Assess the shape and severity of your eyebrows. Think back to the last time you've had a good pluck or wax, if ever.

  2. Step 2

Obtain an eyebrow shaping kit complete with tweezers, stencils, a pencil and wax. Shop online for the best prices and customer satisfaction or ask your local make-up counter associate.

  3. Step 3

Take a pencil and place it over the center most part of your eye, then turn the pencil at a 45 degree angle (or the back third of the eye). This spot is where your arch should be. Take a white pencil and mark where your eye ends on both sides and where your brow should stop.

  4. Step 4

Apply the stencil over your existing eyebrow. Trace the area outside the stencil with a white eyebrow pencil so you know what area needs to be eliminated from tweezing.

  5. Step 5

Begin tweezing the hairs that lie outside of the white traced line of your eyebrow, carefully and judiciously removing the hair. Use wax on the areas that have too much hair to tweeze.

  6. Step 6

Brush the hair on your brows with an eyebrow brush to finish. Shape the hair in the direction which you have tweezed. Then return to remove any errand hairs that you might have missed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tweezerman tweezers are usually of the best quality. Whatever tweezers you buy, ensure they have a well slanted tip and are easy for you to hold and control.
  • If you are a man, careful not to use a stencil that is too thin. In fact it might be best if you simply use the tweezers, unless your eyebrows are very unruly.
  • Remember the arch of the brow should fall at the back third of the eye.
  • Less is more in brow shaping. Be conservative in your alterations or else you could end up with a far less beautiful brow than your natural one.
  • Do not over-tweeze in attempt to control your eyebrows.
  • Do not attempt to use wax without reading the instructions carefully and thoroughly.
  • Do not pluck the longer hairs at the start of your eyebrow; they are there for a reason.
