How to Win Warsong Gulch

Achieving victory in Warsong Gulch is something most World of Warcraft players wished happened to them much more often. Battlegrounds can easily become a time-consuming mess. Getting those 3 hassle-free flag captures is easier than you think though, if you follow these steps.

Instructions

1. Play Warsong Gulch at the high end of your level bracket. Even a few levels makes a huge difference in the skill of the player. Remember: although battlegrounds encompass 9 levels, a vast majority of players will be in the 3 highest levels. It's much easier to kill a 29 when you're level 29 than to kill a 29 when you're level 22.

2. Set up an offense and defense. This must happen at the beginning of the game, and players should discuss how many to put on each. Otherwise, you might end up with 10 players on offense and nobody on defense.

3. Work as a group. If you see someone has taken the flag, go and help. Casting a shield on the flag carrier or delaying the enemies chasing them can enhance your chance for success.

4. Alert others if you plan to take the flag. Anyone attempting to steal a flag should have at least 1 healer and preferably someone with crowd control with them. Either one of these roles can be filled by the flag carrier in a pinch, but it's best to save this for the death of one of your escorts.

5. Use class specific abilities. In Warsong Gulch, it is important for everyone to fill the role they're best at. Those with crowd control, such as hunters and rogues, should use it often but concentrate on doing damage. Healing classes should always heal nearby teammates and tanking classes should try to take the brunt of the damage.
