Jello wrestling is as fun to watch as it is to participate in. Hosting an event can make a great fundraiser or make an otherwise ordinary get-together anything but. Sure, it involves a great deal of mess, but some see that as the hallmark of any great party. Here is how to organize a Jello wrestling event.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large indoor or outdoor area where the event can safely take place
  • Large child's wading pool
  • Several gallons (at least 25) of prepared gelatin dessert, preferably a no-chill variety
  1. Step 1

Find and secure the ideal location for your event needs. It should be large with plenty of seating for spectators. The location should also have a place where wrestlers can clean up.

  2. Step 2

Create fliers if this is a charity or profit event. Spread them around town to generate interest. Bring them to places where the patrons are most likely to be interested, such as nightclubs. Indicate on the fliers that spectators are urged to wear unimportant clothes to the event, as things are sure to get messy.

  3. Step 3

Prepare the mass quantities of gelatin on the day of the event. For best results, prepare it as close to the start of the event as possible, especially if you are using the standard gelatin variety (which can break up over time) as opposed to the non-chill variety.

  4. Step 4

Load the wading pool just before the start of festivities.

  5. Step 5

Have a sign-up sheet available for anyone who is interested in wrestling. Be sure to indicate that participants join the fun at their own risk. Accidents are always a possibility, especially when people are rolling around in gallons of fruity jelly.

  6. Step 6

Keep a first-aid kit or two handy at the event in case of slips, bumps, and scrapes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Extra caution should always be taken at events where alcohol will be present. If your wrestling night will include drinking, designate a few non-drinkers to keep an eye on the matches to make sure people don't get hurt and that matches don't get out of hand.
