If you hope to capture the total magnificence of Las Vegas, it is best to see it from above. One way is eating in the restaurant atop the Stratosphere, but there is a far better way to see all of the city, close up and personal--a helicopter tour.

From Quick Guide: Enjoy Local Sightseeing
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Plan ahead for a helicopter tour of Las Vegas. Frequently the cost is cheaper if purchased ahead of time on the Internet.

  2. Step 2

Decide how much you want to spend. Tour costs can vary dramatically based on the type that you want. If you just want an evening flight over Las Vegas, you probably won't spend over $100, depending on the additional amenities you request. A Grand Canyon tour that includes a flight over the city will run much more.

  3. Step 3

Check with the local concierge desk about the type of helicopter tour that will suit you best. Have them help you book the flight.

  4. Step 4

Walk or find transportation to the flight area, if you're on the budget flight. Wait at the hotel pick up area for the more expensive flights.

  5. Step 5

Enjoy the flight over beautiful Las Vegas. The best tours are those at night. The lights in the city are dazzling.
