You can use a Hitachi camcorder to capture birthday parties, weddings, graduations or other events. You even can upload the video to your MAC or PC and make your own movies. Here are some tips on how to buy a Hitachi camcorder.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit the monster mega electronics stores. These include Best Buy or Circuit City and discount bulk stores, such as Sam's Club and Costco. They all carry Hitachi products.

  2. Step 2

Swing by Hitachi.com for the latest Hitachi technology. You will find camcorders and components, such as additional lenses, microphones and other accessories. If you don't mind paying retail, this is the site for you.

  3. Step 3

Stop by community sites like craigslist.com or local America Online or Yahoo community swap boards. You'd be amazed at the products people will sell or give away for pennies on the dollar simply because they are downsizing, moving or don't know what to do with what they have.

  4. Step 4

Click and place a bid on EBay or other auction websites. You will be able to bid on the latest Hitachi products. Buy from a buyer with a high satisfaction rating. And, if possible, get a new or refurbished item that carries a warranty.

Tips & Warnings
  • Visit an electronics store and demo the Hitachi camcorder you are considering. It's a great way to compare and contrast your expectations and also get input from a Sales Associate with specific knowledge of the product.
