Kodak may be a brand you automatically think of when considering photography. You may buy Kodak film for your 35mm camera and are looking for the same quality in a digital camera. Follow these steps to buy a Kodak Easy Share digital camera.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find an electronics store such as Best Buy or Circuit City, and a website such as amazon.com or Kodak.com, to compare Kodak's cameras.

  2. Step 2

Choose the type of camera you wish to purchase—a cheaper compact model or a more expensive higher end model. Kodak Easy Share makes digital cameras in five different series; point and shoot C, compact and stylish M, powerful P, pocket size V and advanced Z.

  3. Step 3

Check the resolution and zoom to find the highest quality camera in your budget. Kodak cameras range from the C533 with 5.0 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom to the Z1275 with 20.0 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom.

  4. Step 4

Look at the LCD size. Most Kodak Easy Share cameras have a 2.5 inch LCD display. Also check the type of batteries needed, whether they are rechargeable. Find out if you need to buy a computer cable.

  5. Step 5

Consider any accessories, such as a camera bag or a photo printer. All Kodak cameras are part of the Easy Share system that allows you to upload your photos to the Kodak website. Kodak will print them and ship them to you, or you can print them yourself using the Easy Share Photo Printer.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try digital cameras before you buy them. Buy a memory stick to use with all the Kodak cameras in the store. Take the stick home to view the differences between models on your personal computer.
