Step 1
Take public transportation to get to Tivoli. Since it is the city's biggest attraction, almost all forms of public transportation make a stop at Tivoli. If riding the subway (S-Train), get off at the Kobenhavn H station. If riding a bus, use lines 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 28, 29, 30, 34, 40, 67, 68, 69, 150S, 250S, 550S or 650S.

Step 2
Get tickets for Tivoli. There is a nominal admission fee for entrance into Tivoli. You can purchase tickets at the gates of the 21-acre complex. You can purchase season tickets online at Tivoli's official website (see Resources below). Note that your admission ticket does not cover extras inside Tivoli, such as carnival rides.

Know Tivoli's operating days and hours. The park is open from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. from Sunday through Thursday. It is open from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday from mid-June through mid-August. From Easter until mid-June, and from mid-August until late September, the park is open from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday. It also is open from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m., Thursday through Saturday. From mid-October until December, the park is open from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., from Sunday through Wednesday. It is open from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday. Note when the park closes during the other winter months.
