Being an uncle is the best of both worlds--you have nieces and nephews to play without assuming the responsibility of a parent. How can you make sure that you are your nieces' and nephews' favorite uncle? Just follow the steps below.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Get to know each of your nieces and nephews. You must give each of them individual attention so they understand that they're each special to you.
Step2
Pay attention to the age of each niece and nephew. A twelve-year old girl doesn't want to be treated the same as her six-year old sister and vice versa.
Step3
Even if you live far away, maintain communicate with your nieces and nephews regularly. Write letters or emails, give them a call every few weeks and schedule regular visits. If you show them that you're interested in keeping in touch, they'll love you for it.
Step4
Take your nieces and nephews to fun places. Try the zoo, an amusement park, the circus, a museum or anywhere else they'd like to go.
Step5
Remember to send your nieces and nephews occasional gifts. Make sure the gifts are age-appropriate and are something that satisfy one of their interests.
Step6
Don't play favorites. Treat each niece or nephew the same, with patience and understanding.
