How to Heckle a Comedian

People like hearing funny people. It makes us laugh, which makes us live longer. Comedians make people laugh, it's their job. If you want to heckle a comedian because you don't like them or you just want to be facetious, it is a very simple process. Be prepared to be bold enough to annoy a large group of people and possibly get banned from the establishment. Here's how you do it.

Instructions

1. Find out where your local comedy club is. Do this by asking around, doing an online search, or referring to your local phone book.

2. Call and ask what nights they are open and have comedians doing shows. Get directions, if needed. Find out what comedian will be performing in the near future.

3. Buy tickets, if applicable, and attend the set of the comedian. Be late, to draw attention to yourself.

4. Snicker, make rude remarks and gestures, and be as rude as possible throughout their set. Being loud and obnoxious is the best way to heckle a comedian.

5. Reply with more rude comments when the comedian comments on you being a heckler. Be prepared to be as witty and/or annoying as possible.

6. Continue to heckle throughout the set and repeat with all other comedians, if desired. Chances are that you will be thrown out during the first set, which just tells you that you were a perfect heckler.

Tips & Warnings

• Alcohol will surely improve your ability to heckle. At the very least, it will make you bold enough to say what you would not normally say sober. Most of the time, a heckler is drunk.
