Your friends are the people whom you choose to have in your life. You strive to learn as much about these people as possible, so when it comes time to buying something as simple as a birthday card, use all you know and love about your friend to pick just the right one. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Think about your friend--really think about them. Rediscover what made you two friends in the first place. Think about inside jokes and shared experiences you have with this person.
Step2
Search through pictures, emails, letters and any other keepsakes you have of your friend. These can inspire an idea or help you recall a memory that makes it easier than ever to find the right card.
Step3
Make your way to the best local store where cards can be found or find a good website and take the plunge. Remember, if this person is a true friend, they should recognize the effort put forth in the card and not judge it (or you) too harshly by its content.

Tips & Warnings

  • Although you and your friend probably have very similar interests in some areas, and may be very similar people, you aren't the same person. When shopping for someone else, remember that the most important thing is to get something they like. Most often when gifts fail, it's because the buyer has put too much of them self in to the gift, and not enough of the recipient.
