Place pierogies in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes and drain by using a colander. In a saucepan, heat up your favorite spaghetti sauce and add fresh tomatoes to the sauce. Cover the pierogies with the sauce and top with Parmesan cheese.

    • 3

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and place chopped onions and peppers in the skillet along with frozen or thawed pierogies. Heat the mixture until the outside or the pierogies are golden brown and the insides are hot all the way through. Top pierogies with sour cream and serve.

    • 4

Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Coat the pierogies with butter and place on the baking sheet. Leave in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, turning once. Remove pierogies from the oven and let cool. Cover pierogies with salsa and sour cream. You can also wait until they cool and serve these as kind of an appetizer where you can pick up the pierogies and dip them in the salsa and sour cream.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are using frozen pierogies, unless you are boiling them, it is better to let them thaw out a bit before cooking them.
