Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit your local library to look up books about gifted students and gifted education. Even if your child does not have the requisite IQ score, you can still teach her as if she is a gift student.

  2. Step 2

Read the books to find out more information about gifted education. Many of the books refer to Bloom's Taxonomy of Higher Level Thinking Skills. Read about this methodology to ensure that you are teaching your child to reach his highest potential.

  3. Step 3

Browse online for various gifted publishers. Publishers such as Pieces of Learning are wonderful resources for the classroom or at home.

  4. Step 4

Purchase some books that specialize in gifted differentiated instruction. Many of these workbooks get the children to think harder and to think in ways that they have not before. Although these resources cater to gifted children, they are appropriate for all smart students--regardless of IQ.

  5. Step 5

Use these books everyday with your child. You can extend children's levels of thinking, and they can achieve better results in the classroom and with their overall learning.
