Even though Foxwoods is located in Connecticut, Providence (airport symbol PVD) is actually the closest airport. Hartford is still less than an hour drive, but Providence gives you a nice alternative when trying to search for low airfares.
If guests have limited funds for hotel rooms, suggest they stay off-site. Because Foxwoods has a limited number of rooms, the prices can be quite high throughout the year. Check expedia for hotel deals in the area.
