Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Purchase a Mini SD memory card of at least 2 GB. You can find these at any electronics store, but the best deals are on the Internet. If possible, find one that comes with a converter where the Mini SD card slides into a housing to make it fit a standard SD memory slot on the computer.
Step2
Insert the Mini SD card into the converter and pop the full sized memory card into your PC.
Step3
Start a music player application, such as Windows Media Player, on the computer. Go to the Sync tab (or wherever transferring files takes place in your specific software) to transfer the music you currently have on your PC to the memory card.
Step4
Choose which songs you want to transfer to your phone and begin the process according to the manufacturer's directions for your music software. When the transfer is finished, safely remove the memory card from the PC and take the Mini SD card from the converter.
Step5
Open the back cover to the Blackberry Pearl and remove the battery. Just above the slot where your SIM card is located is a slot for the Mini SD card. Slide the silver metal piece to the left to release it. Insert the card into the silver piece at a 90 degree angle and push the card back down, sliding the metal housing to the right to lock the card in place. Replace battery and backing.
Step6
Scroll to the Media icon on your Blackberry Pearl and access Music. Choose the Media Card folder. Each song copied to the memory card now shows up as an individual file. Click the menu key and scroll down to "Play All." You are now ready to rock and roll.
