Trying to eat healthy at fast food restaurants is challenging. If you have a computer the task becomes a little less daunting. Many consumers want to know what they are eating and whether it is healthy. Therefore restaurants, including Sonic, are putting out nutrition charts.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have breakfast. A Breakfast Bistro with Ham, Egg and Cheese has 430 calories and 21 grams of fat, whereas a Breakfast Toaster with Sausage, Egg and Cheese has 630 calories and 39 grams of fat. Adding a cup of coffee will increase the calories by five with 0 grams of fat. If you choose to add a soft drink, you won't add any grams of fat, but you can add as many as 420 calories for a 44 oz. Barq's root beer.

  2. Step 2

Choose a burger. The Junior Burger is the best item to choose since it only has 320 calories and 16 grams of fat. A Super Sonic Cheeseburger with mayonnaise has 970 calories and 63 grams of fat.

  3. Step 3

Select a Corn Dog in place of a burger since it only has 250 calories and 15 grams of fat. Even a Grilled Chicken Salad has more calories (310) but fewer grams of fat (14). A Frito Chili Pie has the most calories with 940 and 64 grams of fat, but the Chicken Strip Dinner isn't far behind with 920 calories and 43 grams of fat.

  4. Step 4

Add regular French Fries or Tater Tots which have 210 and 220 calories and 10 and 14 grams of fat respectively. Large Onion Rings should be avoided since they have 720 calories and 41 grams of fat.

  5. Step 5

Order dessert. A Vanilla Ice Cream Cone or a Junior Banana Split is your best choice. They have 180 and 200 calories, and 6 and 4.5 grams of fat, respectively. A large Chocolate cream pie shake and a large peanut butter shake have the most calories--1130 and 1120--with 30 and 63 grams of fat, respectively.
