Jenny Craig has gained popularity in the U.S. and Canada since it started in the mid-1980s. With celebrity clientele, many other celebrities and women are jumping on board. This program starts clients on provided meals, progressing to preparing your own healthy meals. You also meet once a week with a consultant for a weigh-in and chat. Use these steps to learn how to lose weight with the Jenny Craig program.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Read up on the program on the company website and on other medical sites to make sure it is right for you. Use the website to find a Jenny Craig office near you.

  2. Step 2

Request for a Jenny Craig consultant to call you (this can be done on the website), if you have any questions. You can also order the program you wish to use, if you have already decided.

  3. Step 3

Stick to the program. This may be hard at times, but for any diet or eating habit to help you, you have to be consistent and stick to the plan. The one-on-one support is there if you need them; just call or stop by.

  4. Step 4

Learn a new way to eat. Diets are not the answer to long term weight loss or health benefits. A change in eating habits and lifestyle are. Stop eating emotionally and stock your kitchen with great healthy food. Be an example for your whole family and have them join you on your way to healthier you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always consult your doctor before starting a new diet.
  • Jenny Craig offers a variety of programs. The Special Trial program is just that. The Gold Program offers one-on-one counseling to help build healthy meals yourself. The Platinum Programs offers complete support with weekly counseling sessions and weigh ins, prepackaged food for the first half of your program and then support in building healthy meals on your own.
  • Don't use the program as a crutch. You should use it to learn new habits and skills that you can use independently.
