A widget is a mini-software program or code that you embed into your blog or website. Widgetbox provides a wide variety of widgets for you to use on MySpace, Facebook and other personal networks. Adding local weather is a quick and easy way to let your MySpace friends know what the weather is doing in your part of the world.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign up for a free account at the Widgetbox website. Read the terms of service and agree to them. Once your account is set up, log in.

  2. Step 2

Type "weather" in the search box on the right-hand side. Several options for weather widgets return. Find one that suits your tastes and needs. Not all widgets are compatible with MySpace. For this example, choose the Weather.com Radar widget.

  3. Step 3

Choose "Add to MySpace" from the "Get Widget" dialog box. Another box opens that asks for your MySpace email and password. The dialog box also asks where you would like to place the widget on your blog. Choose the appropriate section. Click "OK."

  4. Step 4

Check your MySpace page to see if the widget looks the way you want it to look. If it's not where you intend it to be, repeat the process with the necessary changes.

  5. Step 5

Remove the widget at any time by logging into your MySpace account. Click on "Edit Profile." Find the weather code in the appropriate section, and delete it. Then save your changes.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can and should change your password after you add your weather widget.
  • Some widgets may ask you to input your zip code or city and state as well.
