Eudora is an email client program that is widespread. It has been around since the beginnings of Windows-based programs for the Internet. With the advances in technology surrounding the Internet it has become possible to send multimedia information along with your email messages. Video clips can be attached to email messages within Eudora and deliver greater content than ever before.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Eudora installed on your computer
  • Email account
  • Updated copy of Windows Media Player

Step1
Open Eudora on your computer.
Step2
Click the "Get Mail" button and check for new mail.
Step3
Identify the message that has an attachment.
Step4
View the message and examine the name of the attachment. Pay special attention to the file extension of the attachment. Video messages will typically have an extension of ".wmv".
Step5
Open Windows Media Player in a separate window.
Step6
Drag the attachment from the Eudora message into the Windows Media Player.
Step7
Start the video message by clicking the "Play" button on the control panel.

  • It is always a good idea to keep the components of your Windows operating system up to date. Patches and changes to plug security leaks are released periodically from Microsoft.
  • If you don't like the interface of Windows Media Player or are expecting to receive attachments that require specialized viewers, you will need to find another viewer on the Internet and download and install it onto your system.
  • Always scan any attachment that comes in your email before opening. Viruses and malicious software often "piggy back" on email messages to propagate.
