Promote Your Favorite NHL Team With Official Memorabilia
Step1
Familiarize yourself with publications aimed at collectors and hockey fans. Magazines published by Chasman's and Beckett will help you determine the worth of memorabilia while you look for something interesting to buy.
Step2
Focus your NHL memorabilia collection around Stanley Cup series from the past. You can search for programs, T-shirts, ticket stubs and other items from past Stanley Cups to create an interesting display in your home.
Step3
Chase the opportunity for game-worn jerseys and other equipment auctioned off by NHL teams. The National Hockey League works with a variety of charities to raise money through the auctioning of signed jerseys, sticks and pucks. Check the charity involved in the auction to determine the impact of your donation.
Step4
Stop by your favorite NHL team's pro shop to find official memorabilia. In addition to racks full of T-shirts and sweaters, track down NHL-approved snow globes, pennants and dozens of other items to prove your excitement for a team.
Step5
Collect official memorabilia on a budget using second-hand stores in your city. Most cities have at least one store that carries used sports equipment and clothing to help people play sports without the expense of new equipment.
Step6
Take a trip to smaller hockey cities like Edmonton and Calgary in your search for NHL memorabilia. The sports fans in these towns focus most of their leisure time on hockey, so there are plenty of memorabilia collectors who have items you can buy to finish your collection.
Step7
Shop the NHL Hall of Fame website for official memorabilia and replica items from the league's past (see Resources below). You can find any team's jersey as well as Hall of Fame items that can be customized for your needs.
