How to Compare NFL Ticket Prices

Rate: (1 Ratings)

When it comes to NFL ticket prices, you can pay below market or at face value. You may even feel forced to pay astronomical amounts set by supply and demand. Compare NFL ticket prices before you decide on which game to hit. Thursday-night matches aren't as popular as those held on Sunday afternoons or Monday nights, but they may be cheaper. Find the best deals by comparing your options for buying tickets.

Compare NFL Ticket Prices to Buy or Sell

Step1
Visit stadium box office websites for seating maps and face-value ticket prices.
Step2
Note the total cost to purchase tickets online or at the box office. Note the day/date of the event and the seating area.
Step3
Log on to StubHub.com or another online broker or ticket exchange (see Resources below). Use the website's search tool to find NFL tickets.
Step4
Use the broker's drop-down stadium seating map to associate the seat locations with the ticket prices offered by brokers versus individual advertisers.
Step5
Browse additional NFL-ticket listings on eBay, and compare them with other sources, using seating sections and event dates as guides to the true value of the tickets (see Resources below).
Step6
Figure in any additional delivery charges that you are responsible for, according to individual-seller rules.
Step7
Evaluate prices for comparable tickets from the original box-office source, ticket brokers and individual advertisers to see who has the best deal.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a true-dollar comparison, assess ticket prices based on the same seating area on the same game day.
  • For a range of budget options, browse as many ticket posts as you can to get a low and high end.
  • Ticketmaster will have the same face price as that charged by the stadium box office, but you will also have to pay the service's applicable fees.
  • You can also find deals on free-online classified sites. These deals can vary widely in cost.
  • Beware of false advertising. A quoted price is hearsay until you see the actual tickets. Have an image faxed to you if you're dealing with an individual seller.
  • Don't consider concessions, such as "send cash payment" or "pay in advance" to get a great deal. These are the biggest risks you can take, as they may be scams.
