For those of you that love pizza, this recipe will be one of the best you have ever tried. This has been sent down, straight from my great-grandmother, who is from Sicily, Italy. Enjoy!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

1 tablespoon of Yeast (Red Star works the best)

  2. Step 2

1 1/2 cups of warm water.

  3. Step 3

1/2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir all three ingredients together.

  4. Step 4

Allow the yeast, water and sugar to set for 5 -10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

3/4 cup of flour. Add flour slowly and stir while adding. Continue until it looks like 'mud.' You may need to add a little extra.

  6. Step 6

Stir until it is smooth and all of the clumps are out and let it set for one minute.

  7. Step 7

    1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil.

  8. Step 8

1/2 teaspoon salt. Add both into the dough and stir.

  9. Step 9

Add more flour. This will be up to your discretion. It needs to be until the dough does not stick to the bowl.

  10. Step 10

Knead the dough until it turns into a ball. Put a towel over the top and let it set so that it can rise.

  11. Step 11

Place oil on a sheet (cookie sheets work well).

  12. Step 12

Even out the dough over the sheet. Add sauce and ingredients as desired.

  13. Step 13

Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until the crust becomes brown around the edges.
