How to Make a Delicates Bag for the Washing Machine and Dryer

Tired of your bras getting tangled up in the washing machine? Hose getting snagged on other clothing? Loosing nursing pads every time you do the wash? You can make this simple and attractive delicates bag in half an hour and never have to deal with these issues again!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 7x16 piece of lace, mesh, or netting
• 12 inch piece of 1/2 inch ribbon
• 16 inch piece of 1/8 inch cord
• One cord stop
• Sewing machine

1. 
    

   Fold fabric in half lengthwise and sew up both sides.

2. 
    

   Hem around top edge with 1/4 inch hem. Turn right side out.

3. 
    

   Take ribbon and sew both raw edges under with a small rolled hem. Sew 1/2 an inch from top edge of bag. Start and end near one side.

4. 
    

   Using a safety pin, pull cord through lace casing.

5. 
    

   Wrap both ends of cord together with tape and run through cord stop. Remove tape and tie a knot in both ends of cord.
