Things You'll Need:
- Soy Sauce
- Garlic Salt
- Ground Pepper
- Flank Steak
-
Step 1
Purchase a Flank Steak (you determine how much!) and cut it in 1/4 inch wide strips about 4 inches long. Use only lean meat!
-
Step 2
Marinade:
Mix together; 1/4 cup Soy Sauce, 3/4 cup Water, 2 Teaspoon Garlic Salt, 2 Teaspoon Coarse Ground Pepper -
Step 3
Place the marinade in a Tupperware type bowl that will hold all the meat you have sliced. Let the meat marinate for 24 hours.
-
Step 4
Place strips of meat directly on the oven rack covered with foil. Bake in a low oven around 275º and leave oven door cracked open. Bake 6-8 hours. Meat should be dried.

on 8/30/2007 I only do this in Winter, but at that low temp it doesn't really get hot. It is just a crack, not the whole door standing open.
