How to Buy Bleachers

The stadium has been around for thousands of years. When Rome ruled Europe, Gladiators would battle in front of thousands of fans. And of course they'd sit on the bleachers. Today every town in America has a stadium, so if you're looking to buy bleachers for a stadium of thousands or just a couple hundred seats around a small field, here's how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Checkout online stores for great deals on bleachers for your stadium or field. Stores like theparkcatalog.com, contractcon.com and brownunited.com are some of the best and offer great deals.
Step2
Contact local teams and their stadiums in the area. Bleachers and high end seats are replaced quite often by teams. While they may not fit their needs, they can be perfect for yours. A little refurbishing can go a long way. Create a proposal from your organization about what you are looking for and circulate it to those teams. They may just be able to help you out.
Step3
Contact a general contractor. You can buy pre-made bleachers and you can also have them made. Most likely they will be made of wood, but can last just as long as their metal counterparts. This is especially smart to do if you are on a budget as the cost of lumber and day labor can often be negotiated.

Tips & Warnings

  • Get a warranty, even if you are buying secondhand and it only covers a short period of time after installation. This will cover any initial problems.
  • Be sure that the team or stadium carries liability insurance for the bleachers.
