How to Visit Dublin's Kilmainham Gaol
When in Dublin, check out Kilmainham Gaol, Ireland's most notorious former prison. This historic site housed some of the most famous Irish prisoners ever including Robert Emmet, Charles Stewart Parnell and Eamon DeValera. Most of the leaders, publicly executed in the jail yard, were of the Easter Rising of 1916.
