How to Play Root Beer Tapper

Root Beer Tapper is an arcade classic that is now available on Xbox LIVE. The game pits the player as a bartender who must serve thirsty patrons without breaking a glass or missing anyone. Simple controls and a lack of violence make this a great kids game. The difficulty jumps quickly as the game progresses and gives even hardcore gamers a run for their money.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the left analog stick to move your bartender. Move them up and down between the bars.

    • 2

Hold down "A" to fill a mug of root beer then release "A" to slide it down the bar to the next patron. Serve the patrons with root beer before they reach the end of the bar or you lose a life. Run out of lives and the game ends.

    • 3

Move your character to collect the empty mugs as the patrons finish them and slide them back to you. Miss a mug and it will break, if a mug breaks you lose a life.

    • 4

Run down the bar to collect a tip left by a patron and earn a lot of points.

    • 5

Serve a customer to slide them down the bar towards the door. If you serve them close enough to the door, you clear them from the bar. Clear all of the customers to win each round.

    • 6

Earn extra lives with every 20,000 points you earn.

    • 7

Play the bonus games in between rounds by playing the cup guess game. Carefully track which cup has the ball underneath it, then select the appropriate cup for bonus points.

Tips & Warnings

  • As you progress through the game, the bars will be filled with more patrons and the bars will eventually flow in different directions. Take your time and try to serve each bar as evenly as possible to keep anyone from reaching the end of the bar ending your game.

  • Do not send a root beer mug to patrons who is watching the show. The mug will slide past them and break on the floor.
