The practice of Wiccan and pagan religion requires magic tools. The tools you select are essential to magical work. Though they have no innate power, you must choose your magic tools carefully. Your tools are physical and visual assistants to releasing and focusing your personal power.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make a list of the magic tools you need. Know the purpose of tools you intend to buy. Plan to decorate your altar or preparing to work a particular ritual; intent dictates your purchase necessary for magic.

  2. Step 2

Use specific tools and follow requirements of magical traditions and covens. When you're part of a group or plan to join one, make sure you know their stipulations and adhere to them.

  3. Step 3

Remember your magic tools need to reflect who you are and whatever properties you're working to achieve. Silver or pewter is appropriate for high magic. Stoneware or hand-thrown clay are better suited for earth magic.

  4. Step 4

Hold the tool in your hands for a few minutes. Quiet and ground yourself; feel the vibration of the tool you are holding. Set it aside and repeat the
process with several like items before making your purchase.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take your time. Needing everything now is the wrong approach; you'll end up with items you have no connection with. These will weaken instead of enhance your power.
  • Don't limit your shopping to metaphysical stores. Thrift and antique stores, as well as flea markets and garage sales, are treasure troves. Don't buy the first thing you see.
