How to Be a Woman Warrior
There are three types of woman warriors. First is the mythological warrior such as Athena, the goddess of wisdom and battle. Then there are the real-life warriors like women's rights activist Gloria Steinem. And finally, there is the everyday warrior--you. A woman warrior is a state of mind. A woman warrior takes a stand and fights for what she believes, whether it's values, family, freedom or personal rights.

1
Utilize the strength of your femininity. Traditionally, women are the caregivers and nurturers. Use these natural attributes to take yourself to new heights. The ability to mix femininity with determination is your greatest strength.
-
2
Make morality a priority. Women warriors have values and it is reflected in everything they do. Gloria Steinem was fiercely passionate about her cause and values. You can be too.

3
Take a chance. Forge a path for others to follow. Decide what you want to achieve and go for it. Every woman warrior has one thing in common--she takes chances and goes after what she wants.

4
Find a mentor. Consider what you look for in a mentor. Contemplate whether it's your mother, another family member, a female minister, co-worker, civic leader or activist. Once you find a mentor, emulate her.

Tips & Warnings
Study Greek mythology. Amazon women, considered descendants of Ares and Harmonia, were the original women warriors. A purely matriarchal society, they were dedicated warriors as well.
Read about real-life women warriors. Jeanne Holm's book "Women in the Military: An Unfinished Revolution," tells the stories of everyday women warriors.
