Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Purchase tickets, available at the museum's ticket desk. Discounts are offered for seniors and students and those under 12 are admitted free. The museum is free to all on Thursday evenings and on the first Tuesday of each month. The museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
Step2
View the museum's collection of Egyptian and Nubian Art. The Dallas Museum of Art's Egyptian collection includes 400 objects, ranging from 400 B.C. to the end of the Roman Empire. Among the highlights are the Coffin of Horankh and the head and upper torso of Pharoah Seti I.
Step3
Examine the Reves Collection. This collection is a group of over 1400 art objects, donated to the museum in 1985 by Wendy Reves on behalf of her late husband Emery. The collection includes many Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, works by Manet, Van Gogh and Cezanne. The collection also includes five recreated rooms from the Reves' Italian villa, which was once owned by Coco Chanel.
Step4
Attend a Gallery Talk. The museum hosts gallery talks, lectures on various aspects of the collection, on selected Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Admission to the talks is included in the regular museum fee.
