Contact your home owner's insurance company to have an adjuster come out and assess any damages. If your roof was hit by a natural disaster, such as hail, this process will help pay for a new roof.

Step 2
Find a reputable roofing company. When looking, make sure you find out if the roofing company belongs to the better business bureau, has a proper license or is bonded and can show you proof of insurance. Some might be able to offer a list of homes recently completed that you can contact to find out how satisfied they were with the company.
-
Step 3
Call friends, neighbors, co-workers and family for any recommendations. If you are replacing your roof because of a natural disaster, chances are that other people around you are replacing their roofs too and might have information on which company to use and who to stay away from.
-
Step 4
Narrow down your choices to 3 or 4 roofing companies and speak to each one of them individually. Find out what their warranty is and how payments are made.

Step 5
Compare price estimates from the different roofing companies. In order to generate an estimate, the roofing company will need to measure the roof of you home.
-
Step 6
Sign a contract with the roofer you feel will work out best for you and find out how soon they can do the work. Often is takes more than one day, so schedule the installation when you can handle endless pounding or won't be home.
-
Step 7
Select a new roof to be installed. Keep in mind the color of the house when making that selection.
