Men with curly hair often become frustrated trying to tame their wild mane. They hate the way that their hair puffs out and looks as though they have "bedhead" all the time. If you are a man with curly hair, you can use these tips to tame your hair.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Consider a shorter haircut. The longer your hair is, the more unruly it will be. If you cut your hair short, it becomes more manageable and easier to style. Keep up a regular haircut schedule as well; don't go more than 6 weeks without getting it cut.
Step2
Blow dry hair on a low setting. If you blow dry your hair after a shower, use the lowest setting possible. You should skip the blow dry whenever possible.
Step3
Straighten your hair to tame it and get a sleeker look. To straighten it yourself, spray wet hair with hairspray while you are brushing it.
Step4
Use pomade in your hair. Buy a straightening pomade and work a small amount through your hair to smooth out the curls.
Step5
Opt for longer and wavier curls. Medium length hair is an alternative to straightening or cutting it short. Use a styling product to keep the longer curls smooth.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are frustrated with your curly hair, consider going to a salon to have a relaxer put in it. This product flattens out the curls to give you a straight style.
