Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Bring up the problem gently. It is not necessary to be confrontational at first. Let the person know the reasons that you are concerned about the porn addiction.
Step2
Seek out professional help. Suggest a therapist or make an appointment to go to couple's therapy. If the online porn is causing problems in your relationship, it is important to get help and find out the possible root of the addiction.
Step3
Go for religious counseling. If you belong to a church, see if they can offer any help. A minister or other religious figure can help a porn addict break their addiction and show them the problems it is causing in their life.
Step4
Find an online group that can help. If the person is embarrassed about getting face-to-face help, recommend an online porn addiction counseling site. The person will be able to get help while remaining anonymous. Two sites that provide this service are E-counseling and XXX Ministry.
Step5
Stay firm. Let the person know that they need to get help and that you are not going to allow this behavior to continue.
