Scientology literally means "study of truth." Scientology can also be defined as the studying and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself and other life, in this universe as well as others. Scientology centers are located in several countries throughout the world. Below are the steps to join the Church of Scientology.

Locate the main website for the Church of Scientology. On the website, there is a feature where you can request to be contacted by a member to guide you through the process of joining the church.
Step2
Read the first of three articles. This article introduces you to the history, beliefs and philosophy behind Scientology. It also introduces L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, and provides testimonials from the members.
Step3
Reply to the original person who contacted you from the website and request the second article. Read the second article as it provides more in-depth information on the religion and how it will personally affect your life. The article will refer you to several books to learn more about Scientology.
Step4
Request and read the third article. This article gives more examples of how Scientology is a functioning religion and the impact it can have on one's life.
Step5
Learn more about the Church of Scientology by reading one or more of the published books. A list of publications is provided in each article as well as on the website.
Step6
Visit a Church of Scientology if you are still interested in joining. You will be offered a complimentary introductory service. Go to the website and enter your address to find a center near you or ask the contact from the website.
