How to Be Alluring to Men

Good news, ladies -- you don't have to be the most gorgeous girl in the room to have all the men flocking around you. With a little effort and a couple of clever tricks, you can be extremely alluring to the opposite sex. The attention you'll receive will make you even more attractive and your confidence will grow.

Dress to Impress

Believe it or not, men do pay attention to what a woman wears -- and it doesn't have to be a low-cut top or tiny mini skirt to get their attention. Solid colors convey trustworthiness, says Cosmopolitan, so steer clear of patterns. Stay away from all black, as it looks too corporate. Most importantly, dress to flatter your figure. This will give you an inner confidence, which men always find alluring. Don't neglect your feet: Men find a high-heeled shoe attractive, even more so when it's hanging off your foot. According to Cosmopolitan, a dangling stiletto suggests a playful side. Perch on a bar stool for the perfect opportunity to test this theory.

Embrace Your Fun Side

According to international dating website eHarmony, men are drawn to women who don't take themselves too seriously. Don't be scared to show your fun side. Someone who is clearly enjoying herself and loving life can be irresistible to a potential love interest. A woman who is smiling, laughing and having a great time is far more appealing than one who appears to have the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Say It With Body Language

Over half of all communication is done through body language, reveals body language expert Janine Driver. Judi James, author of "The Body Language Bible," recommends "the flick" to get the right kind of attention from a man. During conversation, maintain good eye contact. Let your eyes move down to his mouth and back to his eyes. Combine it with a coy smile and a subtle tilt of the head. Looking at his mouth is a subtle sign of sexual approval. Cosmopolitan recommends lowering your chin a little so that you're looking up at a man, which is very flirtatious.

Don't Hog the Limelight

A good sense of humor makes a woman very attractive, but it's important to strike a balance between cracking the jokes and laughing at them. Men may prefer you to show that you find them funny, rather than try to take center stage yourself. Boost a guy's ego by laughing at his jokes and he'll find you very alluring.
