How to Plan a NASCAR Themed Party
If you are a surrounded by NASCAR fans, why not have a get-together for them on the day of a big race. A themed party can be a big success with proper planning and some inventive decorating. Make sure the TV and cable are working properly. You don't want anyone to storm out in a huff. NASCAR fans are serious about the sport.

Cover the serving table with a green tablecloth or even better a remnant of artificial turf. Cut pieces of shingles for a racetrack and place down the center of the table. Set matchbox race cars around the track. Make a "flower" arrangement of party store checkered flags placed in a vase.

Purchase an inexpensive tool box for the centerpiece. Line the bottom with napkins and fill with assorted chips. Put various nuts in the top tray.

Hang streamers of yellow and black caution tape and make napkin rings from hose clamps. Skewer cheese cubes, pineapple chunks, little smokies and other finger food with tiny new, clean screwdrivers. All of these items can be found in the hardware department of your local home improvement store.

Turn small salt and pepper shakers into race car drivers by gluing them securely to miniature race cars. Your guests can entertain themselves by racing them across the table when needed.

Use galvanized aluminum buckets to ice down drinks.

Serve plenty of fried chicken, potato salad, appetizers, and drinks and your NASCAR themed party is complete.

Lol. Datona 500 is right around the corner. Got a gang coming over for that one. My husband has been sweating every day.I'm Looking things too cook and get ready for that day. Finding footballs too fix for appetizer. Not in the same vacinity I want too find. So here is what my ideal has came out of. So with my cheese ball I am going too carve 88 out the top and use cheddar chesse too fill it up. So instead of a football everyone will see a nice big 88! Lol! Hey I am going too make it so that is the way it is going too look! I do like the yellow and black tape ideal. As for the tool box no one be able too see over his tool box. lol! There are a lot of ideals out there. Like the car ideal around the table. You could even cut out a track from construction paper and use chalk or a white color pencil too make lines. You adjust hight at your own will too make it look real if you think your cars will stay on. With his train stuff we could almost make it real! But I won't give him no ideals because he will even set up a station! I know my husband has little toy cars like Jeff Gordon cars setting around here somewhere. Even his best friend makes his kid wear and drink from Johnson stuff. He may make him run on the track because when he comes over he won't know too bring a car. Hey we even have a Dale Earnhardt Sr. car still in the box. But they will have too beat me up before they pull that one out. A green table cloth sounds nice too. Hey it's Dale Earnhard's color anyways! lmao! You could even make a track down your hall or in your bathroom too your toilet. Put a pit stop above you're toilet or on your toilet! Like I said it is endless. We can make it better and funnier! Well like I said there are a lot of ideals. If you know them or can think of them post them. Quit letting the football and basketball have it all now. Nascar is great too! Quit hiding inside your home. Get some out. Let us know what you do. I have an 88 car hanging from my ceiling. A big one! I have pictures and posters and signs also. But without ideals from all the fans how can we go further. I'll be waiting on you guys!
