Tim Horton's is known for their good donuts and coffee in the U.S. and Canada. An array of food is served since they're open 24 hours. In order to eat right, you must balance low fat and low calorie foods along with whole grains. Going out to eat can test your willpower, but you can eat healthy if you make your choices sensibly.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Avoid most of the donuts. They range in fat from 8 grams and 200 calories all the way to 360 calories and 23 grams of fat for the walnut crunch. Dipped donuts have the lowest number of calories at about 200 each. Also, the breakfast sandwiches are loaded with fat and calories.
Step2
Choose from the low fat muffins that Tim Horton's offers. A low fat blueberry muffin can save you almost 9 grams of fat and 50 calories. Or an even better choice is yogurt with berries that is only 150 calories and 1 gram of fat.
Step3
Eat a sandwich with lean meats but avoid the chicken or egg salad since they contain mayonnaise that is high in fat. The chicken club with a whole wheat bun is a good choice with 7 grams of fat and 430 calories.
Step4
Opt for a healthy bagel with a low fat cream cheese. Doing so can save you half the fat grams and about one-third the calories.
Step5
Select regular coffee or diet colas. A 12 oz. soda is over 150 calories. Water is always a great choice, too.
Step6
Ask for a nutritional guide when you arrive at Tim Horton's or look online. You can scan it for something to eat that looks appetizing and healthy.

Tips & Warnings
