Yankee Stadium is home to the New York Yankees and is located in the Bronx. Fans travel from all parts of the country to see this fabulous team play on their home field. If you are driving to the stadium, then you should figure out parking ahead of time.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Allow enough time to park. The area is insanely busy when a home game is taking place at the stadium. You should plan to time your arrival for an hour before the start of the game.

  2. Step 2

Check for closures before you leave. Log online before you leave for the game to check for any street and parking lot closures that surround the stadium. This will help you narrow down the area where you want to park.

  3. Step 3

Find Yankee Stadium parking on River Avenue. River Avenue is the long stretch of road that runs alongside the field. You will find 4 parking lots on River Avenue that are close to the stadium.

  4. Step 4

Head over to East 153rd or 157th Streets if you can not find parking on River Avenue. There are additional lots available at these locations.

  5. Step 5

Pay any parking fees. Each lot charges vehicles to park on their premises. It is not recommended to search around for a better rate, they each offer similar prices.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is recommended by the stadium that you take mass transit to the field. There are New York subways and buses that drop you right near the stadium entrance.
  • Avoid the Major Deegan Expressway for parking. This high traffic area has a large amount of closures and will delay your arrival to the game.
