NASCAR is not only one of the fastest spectator sports out there, it's one of the most beloved with 75 million fans tuning in and showing up trackside every weekend of race season. One of the most popular tracks in the circuit is Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. Use these steps to learn more about this speedway and how to enjoy the race there while taking in the sights, too.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Buy a track pack. This seating option has five different seating areas, so packages have a slight range in price. It is a season pass, but does not have any other benefits besides seating. Ticket information is available online or by calling the ticket office at (815) 727-RACE.
Step2
Become a Founders Pass holder. The Founders Pass entitles you to premium seating, based on your pass level, for 30 years. While there are no other direct benefits for race days, you do get discounts on pit passes and invitations to other speedway events. Founders Passes range in price from a $500 to $1500 one-time fee plus the yearly cost of track pack tickets.
Step3
Buy a pit pass. You must first purchase a track pack before you are able to purchase pit passes. The price of a pit pass depends on the track pass level you hold.
Step4
Join the Turn 4 Club. A Turn 4 Club member enjoys admission to all three days of NASCAR weekend, VIP parking, plasma screen television, indoor climate controlled grandstands, fully catered meals and bar, guide pit pass tour and a collectible gift. Contact their sales department for pricing.
Step5
Go with a corporate group and enjoy hospitality village. In hospitality village, corporate groups are treated to climate controlled areas for eight people, buffet meals and bar, premier parking and pit tours. Or check out the corporate suites available that look down on the grandstands and the speedway. You must call the sales department at (815) 722-5500 for pricing information.

Tips & Warnings

  • Take a minute to talk to the people around you in the grandstands and at your hotel. By the end of the weekend, you will have some great new friends.
  • Never carry unnecessary valuables on you when you travel.
