Playing The Sims 2 on your personal computer is addicting enough, but playing with cheat codes makes the game even more interesting. Adding simoleans to your household funds or stopping the aging process adds a new dimension to the game. Follow the steps to learn how to use Sims 2 codes to raise your game play.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Insert your Sims 2 CD or DVD game, or your most recent expansion disc, into your computer. Double-click the Sims 2 icon, or expansion pack icon, on your desktop if the game doesn't start automatically.
Step2
Begin the game you wish to play or start a new one creating any characters and households you want. Enter the specific household you want to play.
Step3
Open the command console by simultaneously pressing "Control + Shift + C" on the computer's keyboard.
Step4
Type cheat codes into the console and press "Enter" to put them into effect. Type "kaching" to add 1000 simoleans to your household or "motherlode" to add 50,000 simoleans. Type "StretchSkeleton" to make your sims larger or smaller. Type "help –all" to list all cheats in the game.
Step5
Type "exit" to leave the console and return to your game. Your newly inputted cheats should have taken affect.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cheats are case sensitive. Enter codes exactly as they appear, or they won't work correctly.
  • Find more cheat codes in the "readme.txt" file located in the Sims 2 folder on your computer.
  • Search the internet to find other codes and cheats to use in your game play.
