Maintain Your Karaoke Machine With Regular Cleaning

  1. Step 1

Clean the exterior of your karaoke machine regularly. Use a soft clean cloth to wipe down the karaoke machine housing. You can use warm water to help clean the unit, but it should be applied to the cloth, not the machine casing.

  2. Step 2

Avoid using cleaning solvents to maintain the karaoke machine. These can tarnish the surface of the machine. Solvents can also affect how the machine functions if they get inside the housing or into the buttons.

  3. Step 3

Clean the CD laser lens occasionally. Use a CD lens cleaning disc for the best results. Place the disc into the karaoke machine and run it according to the enclosed instructions.

  4. Step 4

Try cleaning the CD laser lens manually. Open the CD player and locate the CD laser lens. Wipe it off gently with a clean cotton cloth. Do not use any solvents.

  5. Properly Store Your Karaoke Machine

  6. Step 1

Turn off the power to your karaoke machine after each use. This will help the machine from overheating.

  7. Step 2

Store your karaoke machine in a cool, dry place. Moist conditions can cause the machine's cabinet to warp and could cause rust on interior electrical components.

  8. Step 3

Keep your karaoke machine away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can warp plastic buttons and screens on your karaoke player.

  9. Step 4

Consider covering your karaoke machine while not in use. This will help prevent dust from accumulating inside the buttons.

  10. Handle Your Karaoke CDs With Care

  11. Step 1

Store your karaoke CDs in their original cases to reduce the risk of dirt accumulation. Dirty CDs can cause tracking problems when put in your karaoke player.

  12. Step 2

Keep your karaoke CDs away from direct sunlight. Even while in their cases, CDs can easily warp when exposed to direct sunlight. Warped CDs may get stuck inside the karaoke machine.

  13. Step 3

Pick up karaoke CDs only by the very edges of the disc. This will help keep the discs free of dirt and fingerprints.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never open the karaoke machine's housing. Doing so may void your manufacturer's warranty.
  • Always turn off the karaoke player and disconnect the power plug before you clean the player to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
