How to Prepare to Sing

Want to take center stage with your voice? Training your singing voice correctly is the first step to getting there. These easy warm - up techniques can help you to begin relaxing your voice and preparing it for your debut.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Yourself

Step1
Align your back so it is straight. Reach your hands to the ceiling and slowly put them down to the side of your body.
Step2
Massage your face. This should include the front of your neck, back of your neck and your jaw. Your hands should do this in a slow, downward motion.
Step3
Scrunches. Scrunch your entire face into a pucker and then stretch outward, saying "Mua" as you stretch.
Step4
Toungue Roll. Place the tip of your tongue on your bottom, middle teeth. Push the middle part of your toungue outward and back in. Repeat this several times and move quickly.
