Make Pina Coladas
Make Pina Coladas

Looking for a nice, tropical way to cool off this summer? Try a Pina Colada! Here's how:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Shot Glass
  • A Highball Glass
  • Light Rum
  • 151 Rum
  • Pina Colada Mix
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Pineapple Wedge
  • Cherry
  • Ice
  • Cocktail Shaker
  1. Step 1

Fill the shaker 1/4 of the way with ice. Comine 1 oz. light Rum, 1/2 oz. 151,2 oz. pineapple juice and 2 oz. Pina Colada mix in the shaker.

  2. Step 2

Shake the mix together. Do not use short, fast shakes. Long, slow mations on the shaker glass allows the liquors to bliend more easily without foaming the drink.

  3. Step 3

Fill your highball glass with ice and strain the mix from the shaker over the ice. Garnish with the cherry and the pineapple wedge. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • This recipe is on the rocks. To enjoy a blended Colada, just pour everything into a blender before going into the hightball. THEN, garnish.
  • Shaking any drink in a fast manner can cause it to foam and make it less satisfying. You want a refreshing cocktail, not Alka-Seltzer.
  • Always Drink Responsibly

on 8/7/2009 Sounds great. I also like a drink I make with a red bull and cherry vodka. It's a larger version of a cherry bomb shot as they call them.
