An eBay trading assistant sells items on eBay for other people. Trading assistants for eBay must have a positive rating of at least 97 percent and have a minimum feedback score of 100. You earn fees for selling the items and always have items to sell thanks to your clientele. Here are steps to becoming an eBay trading assistant.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Meet the eBay qualifications for becoming a trading assistant. Check eBay.com under the "Trading Assistant" tab for current qualification requirements(see Resources below).
Step2
Set up a location for clients to drop off the items they want to sell. EBay requires the place to be manned regularly.
Step3
Sign in to eBay and click "Trading Assistant." Choose "Add Name to Directory."
Step4
Download the free materials eBay offers trading assistants. EBay offers free tools and information including a discussion board where you can chat with other assistants.
Step5
Decide what fees to charge clients, what restrictions to put on the items and how long you promise to list the items.
Step6
Choose whether you or the client will ship the item and specify how you will be paid. Make a clear policy for what you will do with unsold items.
Step7
Run ads in local newspapers or on websites that list classified ads for your area. Tell friends and family you are an eBay trading assistant and begin to build your clientele. If you have a hard time finding clients, run a special deal or give a discount to get started.
