If you've finally had enough, follow these steps the next time you need stamps to buy your postage online.

      Go to the USPS website's Postal Store. From this screen, you can choose from postage, shipping supplies or collectibles.

      Click "Buy" in the "Stamps" box to buy postage. Select the quantity you need and then click "Checkout."

      Register with the USPS site if you're a new user. Choose a user name and a password (the password must be at least eight characters and contain one uppercase letter and one number). Select a password question and enter its answer.

      Choose "Business Account" or "Personal Account," and complete the form that follows this screen with your name, address and phone number. Click "Continue," confirm that all of the information is correct, and then agree to the USPS Privacy Act.

      Proceed to "Checkout," confirm your shipping address (this must be the same as your billing address). Enter your credit card type, number, expiration date and security code. Review your information, and print your receipt. Your purchase should arrive within 7 to 10 days, via (what else?) the United States Postal Service.
