Choosing a new digital camera may not be a major economic purchase, but it's a major purchase in other ways. Most pictures you can't retake later, so you'll want to choose the right camera from the start. You must take several steps to make sure you get the right Sanyo camera at the right price.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure a Sanyo digital camera is for you. Sanyo specializes in low-end sub-compact cameras. These cameras are great for people who want affordable digital cameras, but not advanced manual features. If you want settings which are not automatic, long zoom lenses or a camera small enough to fit in your pocket, you may want to consider a different brand.

  2. Step 2

Decide how many megapixels you need. Choose a three megapixel Sanyo camera to save some money if you will only want 4 by 6 inch prints. Choose at least a six megapixel if you need 8 by 10 inch prints.

  3. Step 3

Compare digital camera models at the Sanyo website. Click on the "Products" link and then scroll down to "Digital Cameras," then on "Cameras." Choose a camera for a description and list of specifications. Narrow your choice down to the camera that best fits your needs.

  4. Step 4

Read reviews for your chosen camera online. You can review in depth information of Sanyo digital cameras and look at some sample images on many websites.

  5. Step 5

Look for a good deal on your digital camera. Compare prices at the usual retailers, but also see if you can get a better deal online.
