Choosing a digital camera may cost only a few hundred dollars, but when you think about what you want to get out of your camera, it can be a major purchase. Because you don't get a second chance at most pictures, you'll want to choose the right camera from the start. After narrowing down your search down to a Samsung digital camera, you'll want to take a few more steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what you'll use your camera for. Samsung offers many ultra-compact cameras for easy transportation, many sub-compacts that are larger but usually cheaper and a few high end professional models which have advanced features and wider zooms, but cost more and take more knowledge to use properly.

  2. Step 2

Choose a three megapixel Samsung camera to save some money if you only want 4 by 6 inch prints. However, if you may want some 8 by 10 inch prints, choose at least a six megapixel model.

  3. Step 3

Compare digital camera models at the Samsung website. Click on the "Showroom" at the top of the page. Click on each camera for a list of specifications or click "Virtual Tour" link below each camera to see the camera in action.

  4. Step 4

Read reviews for your chosen camera online. Many websites give in depth reviews of Samsung digital cameras and provide some sample images.

  5. Step 5

Look for a good deal on your digital camera. Compare prices at regular brick and mortar stores, but also see if you can get a better deal online.
