With 75 million fans, NASCAR is one of the most celebrated sports organizations in the country and the world. So, what better place to advertise your company than on a globally recognized car in the NASCAR circuit? Each race team has its own sponsors, so these steps will walk you through the basics without getting into the particulars of every race team on the circuit.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Study NASCAR and learn what cars are a part of what teams. Learn as much as you can about the different teams, including who the owners are, who the current sponsors are and how good the team is doing in the current season.
Step2
Use the car information to decide which NASCAR team would be the best fit for your company.
Step3
Visit that team's website to find out more about becoming a sponsor. Many of the sites, like the site for McGlynn Racing, has an informational video for prospective sponsors to watch before contacting them.
Step4
Fill out the required form or contact the appropriate person from the site (if they list one). Much of the access to this process is restricted as becoming a sponsor is extremely costly and requires strategic marketing between the team reps and your company.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not go blindly into the negotiations. You should know a little something about the sport.
