Aunts and uncles generally have a nephew that they prefer over other nephews. While most aunts and uncles naturally gravitate toward a specific boy, there are ways to become the favorite nephew. Follow these steps to become the favorite nephew.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be the only nephew. This is the best way to be the favorite nephew. You have no competition and you are going to be the favorite nephew by default. Milk it for all its worth just in case another boy is born later.

  2. Step 2

Be excited about visits with your aunt(s) and uncle(s). One of the ways to become the favorite nephew is to be excited about spending time with your aunts and uncles. Your relatives can tell when you are excited by the way you look and usually by the way you act. When your aunt(s) or uncle(s) come over, stop what you are doing and run to greet them.

  3. Step 3

Don't fight with your cousins. Nothing can be more irritating to an aunt or uncle than fighting with their children. Most aunts and uncles are not going to pick a nephew over their own children. You must avoid irritating your family if you want to be the favorite nephew.

  4. Step 4

Show your appreciation for your aunts and uncles. This can include gifts for your birthday or holidays, special trips you take with them or activities that you do together. Always thank your aunts and uncles for spending time and money on you.

  5. Step 5

Target one specific aunt or uncle. It is easier to be one person's favorite nephew than to be an entire group's favorite. You need to pick the aunt or uncle with whom you have the most things in common. Mirror their personality traits when possible and use your best manners with them.
