How to Get Married in Grand Cayman

Couples are booking destination weddings nowadays rather than holding a huge wedding at home. Instructions

1. Make sure you are both over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years old, you will have to get a notary republic to sign an affidavit or get consent from your parents.

2. Bring death certificates or divorce decrees if you have been widowed or divorced from a previous marriage union. The government needs proof that you are now single and that you are going into this union as a new couple.

3. Ask your local home priest to converse with the priest on the island. You will need to take any necessary marriage counseling and prove to both priests that you have done so.

4. Make sure you bring all identification that is necessary for your wedding ceremony to be acknowledged in Grand Cayman. Bring your passports, driver's licenses, birth certificates and any other IDs that might be suitable.

5. Bring over $200 US dollars with you for your marriage license. Bring cash with you to cover any other expenses to do with the marriage ceremony.
