Seashells are one of Mother Nature's loveliest gifts. For people lucky enough to live near the coast, sea shells are easy to find. If you don't live near the beach, don't despair, sea shells can be purchased at craft stores at reasonable prices and they offer many decorating possibilities from picture frames to Christmas ornaments.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Assorted seashells
  • Sand dollars
  • Starfish
  • Hot glue gun
  • Velcro tabs
  1. Step 1

Glue small seashells to an inexpensive wooden picture frame using hot glue. Place a photo of you and your friends or family at the beach inside as a reminder of sunnier days.

  2. Step 2

Fill an empty canning jar with an assortment of seashells, starfish and sand dollars. Group three or four jars together for a new take on country decorating.

  3. Step 3

Glue red ribbon loops to the back of sand dollar or seashells with hot glue, and hang it on your Christmas tree for a beach inspired holiday theme. Embellish a plain Christmas wreath with seashells and ribbon, and hang it on your front door.

  4. Step 4

Select sand dollars of roughly the same size and hot glue them onto each side of a plain mirror for a whimsical bathroom accessory.

  5. Step 5

Place bowls of seashells, starfish and sand dollars on a coffee or end table, for a simple still life.

  6. Step 6

Create a sea shell valance by attaching flat shells to the tabs of a tab-top curtain. Use either hot glue or stick-on Velcro to secure the shells in place. Remove them when you wash the curtain.

  7. Step 7

Hot glue shells onto napkin rings to add a beach theme to your dining table.
